Why wouldn't I just search for a playlist online?
Most people have hundreds or thousands of songs they've collected over the years—more than enough for any mood or moment. The problem isn't finding music, it's remembering what you already have. Zimmify is like a DJ who not only reads the room, but also knows exactly which songs you own and which ones you don't. No more hearing the same 20 songs on repeat while the rest of your library collects dust.
How long does the initial setup take?
After granting access to your Apple Music library, Zimmify analyzes your songs in the background. For a typical library of 500-2000 songs, this takes a few minutes. Larger collections (5000+ songs) may take longer, but you can start using the app immediately while processing continues.
What happens to my music data?
Your actual music files never leave your device—we only analyze metadata like song titles, artists, and genres to understand your collection. The AI-generated song profiles are stored securely and tied to your account. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Can I use Zimmify offline?
You need an internet connection for AI recommendations since they're processed in the cloud. However, once songs are queued, playback works offline through Apple Music as usual. Any playlists you've saved also remain accessible offline.
Does it work with music I've downloaded vs. streamed?
Zimmify works with your entire Apple Music library—both downloaded tracks and songs you've added from the Apple Music catalog. Local files imported into Apple Music aren't supported yet, but we're working on it. If you'd like early access to local file support, reach out to us directly and we can enable it for your account.
What if Zimmify picks songs I don't like?
Try being more specific with your requests—instead of "chill music," try "acoustic chill without vocals" or "lo-fi beats for late night coding." The AI is also getting smarter with each release as we refine how it understands music and context.
Can I share playlists Zimmify creates?
When you save an AI-curated selection as an Apple Music playlist, it becomes a regular playlist in your library. You can share it with friends, make it collaborative, or publish it publicly—just like any other Apple Music playlist.
Will Zimmify work with Spotify in the future?
We're focused on making the best possible Apple Music experience right now. Spotify integration is something we're exploring for the future, but we don't have a timeline to share yet.
